JA More Than Money

HSBC Partners with JA to Bring "JA in a Day" to Local Students

Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay has joined with HSBC to help local students plan for their future and make smart academic and economic choices. JA and HSBC volunteers implement the economic learning programs at schools in the Tampa Bay area.

Junior Achievement USA reaches more than nine million students around the world, over 75,000 in Tampa Bay. In June of 2008, HSBC and Junior Achievement launched a $5.5 million, four-year global program to teach children how to manage their money responsibly.

JA More than Money™ is a global expansion of Junior Achievement’s successful financial literacy curriculum aimed at children aged 7 to 11. The program involves HSBC staff in more than 40 countries including the United States. This strategic initiative is designed to build on the breadth and depth of HSBC’s commitment to financial education and its support for JA.

HSBC has supported Junior Achievement since 1942. Since that time, more than 10,000 HSBC employees have volunteered to help deliver programs to some 300,000 students in 44 states.
